Our English Language Arts and Math 8 Assessment teams met to revamp our year-end summative assessments. Part of our process is to have data informed practices. Using our results, observations, and feedback about last year’s assessments we made changes. The groups were very collaborative and supportive of one another. We are appreciative of the time to work together and build connections across the division.

On January 16, 2023, eight teachers from across the Living Waters Catholic Separate School Division came together for their third session of Aspiring Leaders. Aspiring Leaders is a leadership program specifically designed to support teachers who are interested in learning more about leadership. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about supporting staff and students in the area of inclusive education and learning. Living Waters Aspiring Leaders will be attending at least 8 sessions over the course of the 2022/2023 school year.

On January 9 and 10th, Administrators from across the Division attended two full days focussed on learning and leading. Time was spent developing leadership plans and literacy plans for continuous improvement. Admin teams worked collaboratively and engaged in professional conversation that will create a better tomorrow for staff, students and school communities across the Division.

Our Living Waters Religious Education Team met on Friday, January 13, 2023. Our meeting time was spent planning Student Faith Retreats for each school within our division. Each school will be hosting a school-based Student Retreat in either May or June of this school year to give our students opportunities to learn more about our Catholic faith and strengthen their relationship with God. Our Student Faith Retreats will continue to build upon our Catholic school culture and the sense of community within our school environments. We are blessed to have such a hardworking group of teachers on our committee who are committed to making our Living Waters schools a model for Catholic education.
